People in the county would like more care and compassion from health and social care services, according to Healthwatch Leicestershire's Winter Tour report. People who participated in the consultation raised concerns about issues such as patient privacy and customer services. The direct number for Benefits and Revenues customers has changed from an 0845 number to 0345. The rest of the number is exactly the same and so when you want to contact them, you need to just change the 8 to a 3.The change in the number is to help customers save money as its cheaper to call whether through a landline or a mobile.

Leicestershire County Council has announced the release of its “SHIRE Community Solutions Grant Fund”. The fund, with a total value of £260,000, is for voluntary and community sector organisations interested in developing or running services or activities for vulnerable or disadvantaged people through early intervention approaches. Citizens Advice Bureaux across Leicestershire have received reports from people who have felt conned by companies offering to buy their unwanted clothes. Ann Bates, Consumer Information Gathering Project Officer with the CAB, explained they’ve received several complaints recently from consumers who sold their clothes to online companies, but hadn’t received any money.
