MENTAL HEALTH & CLIENT RELATIONS

The mental health of a client can be triggered, made worse or recur because of issues such as prolonged unemployment, sickness or poor housing conditions. Mental health embraces a range of conditions and can vary in its severity. This daylong training session seeks to raise awareness about mental health and enable advisers to improve their communications with clients with mental health issues.
EFFECTIVE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Wednesday 10 June 2015 - 9.45 am – 4.00 pm
This daylong training course will look at the use of social media and how to develop skills and confidence in its use. The day will look at how to use social media for recruiting volunteers as well as promoting your organisation and services. The training is aimed at participants who are skilled and experienced in using social media as well as those who are less so.
UNIVERSAL CREDIT: What it means for Advisers in Charnwood
Tuesday 7 July 2015 - 9.45 am – 4.00 pm
Universal Credit is set to be rolled out in the Borough of Charnwood from 1 June 2015. Universal Credit is a new benefit that supports people who are on a low income or out of work and ensure that they are better off in work not benefits. Universal Credit is designed to give support to individuals to prepare for work, move into work, or earn more. This training is for advisers who will have to work with clients affected by Universal Credit.
RAISING MONEY FROM BUSINESS: Developing Long-term Business Links

Charnwood Connect aims to create a more sustainable and resilient advice sector. This daylong training course focuses on raising funds from business and forming links with the private sector. The private, public and voluntary sector may have different needs and motivations making it more challenging to work together. However, a healthy relationship between these sectors could be mutually rewarding.
